Metaform Systems announced the General Availability of Fabric3 1.3. Fabric3 is a platform for developing, assembling, and managing distributed applications based on Service Component Architecture (SCA).
Fabric3 recent feature highlights include:
* Dynamically enable and update policies across a cluster such as SLAs and monitoring without the need to redeploy services
* Out-of-the-box interoperability with Microsoft .NET, including transport- and message-level security
* Support for XA transactions, data source pooling, and recovery using Atomikos TransactionEssentials
* Full support for SCA-based transacted messaging
* Message "autoscaling" - the ability for the runtime to tune message listeners based on workload
* An extensible security framework
* Transparently expose application components as JMX MBeans
* Dynamic provision runtime extensions based on application requirements across a cluster without requiring a runtime restart
